GENERAL FUNCTION

Wholesale Demand and Inventory planning by month and season for the warehouse to support all sales for the business.  Product sku analysis and proposal of inventory buys within OTB to maintain substantial stock levels.  Ensure delivery deadlines are met whilst continuously monitoring the critical path provide clear, concise information to the customer service and warehouse teams.

PRIMARY DUTIES

• Demand phase planning by sku, category, period and region based on order book, forecast and commercial feedback from Sales Teams & Planners
• Manage and propose weekly inventory buys within the OTB to ensure adequate, seasonally relevant inventory levels are available to support revenue plan  including focus on core product supply
• Reconciliation of orders vs. inventory against factory capacity and propose actions where necessary whilst maintaining stock turns and sku productivity targets
• Produce and present periodic stock cover, obsolete and excess report for review of seasonal inventory position, and identify close-out stock (staff list with discount) at the earliest opportunity to optimise margin
• Develop efficient working relationship with the sales and challenge product forecasts generated from forecast to demand plan anomalies
• Weekly review of Combined Weekly Report (full PO list on order with suppliers) to ensure all supply chain issues are captured, communicated and actioned
• Oversee critical path, PO placement, material master data management including pricing monitoring, volume direct shipments, supply chain issues and ensure we meet customer expectations (internally & externally)
• Monitor the goods receiving procedures ensuring what ordered matches what arrival and reflect if any quality / quantity defect.
• Liaise daily with suppliers along with all warehouse and factory colleagues in order to achieve a smooth flow of production and ensure all production and production pending issues are resolved
• E-Commerce – select, review with team and allocate relevant stock for the website seasonally
• Ad-hoc duties that are requested from the line manager

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

• Advance Excel skills essential (pivot tables, vlook ups etc)
• ERP experience preferred
• At least 3 yrs previous experience in wholesale merchandising/Inventory/demand planning
• Excellent analytical ability
• Strong communication skills with a pro-active approach to all aspects of their role
• Highly motivated and organised individual
• Works well under pressure when working to tight deadlines
