Job Description

The Roles:

Work closely to Project Consultant, you will be core member of the Development & Special Project team to deliver enterprising design project from concepts through to implementation in particular on design research, pleackmaking, festival production/event management, education programme and community activation. This role is responsible for developing partnership and sponsorship strategies and acquiring high level of partners and sponsors supports for the business community outreach programme of Business of Design Week (BODW) – an annual flagship programme of HKDC.

 

Requirements:

  • Strategic planning, development and management of key business and institutional partners for BODW’s business community outreach programme
  • Strategize and collaborate with Programming, Marketing and Events departments to align partnership opportunities with the event strategy and goals
  • Develop creative ways to partner with HKDC in order to maximize their involvement and financial support to the business community outreach programme
  • Oversee development and effective use of each partner communications for all partner events
  • Strategically identify key high level targets; responsible for directly confirming partnership and sponsorships to drive support for event
  • Manage partner deliverable process, communication with Marketing and Event Managers to ensure partnership commitments are delivered
  • Manage all pre-event and onsite partnership relations and communications, ensuring excellent support and overall experience
  • Train and mentor the partnership management team, ensuring HKDC and event goals are met
  • Assist to manage the partnership management team, providing guidance and setting goals on a weekly basis

 

Key Requirements:

Qualified candidates should have at least seven to ten years professional experience in design field, business development, partnership management and fundraising/ sponsorship sales. Required proven experience successfully leading and motivating a professional team. Experience as a Development Consultant, Partnership Consultant or similar position in non-profit or social change organizations is a plus. Design industry background and strong network of local and oversea business communities and brands are highly preferable.
