As an international secondary school offering iGCSE and IB programmes, we occupy award winning buildings in the Western district of Hong Kong. Responsibilities
SUMMARY
To coordinate, develop and maintain all communications and publications for the school. To edit, review and/or write all school communication with parents and the wider community to ensure quality and professionalism of communications.
This is a full time role to cover maternity leave from mid September to December 2018.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
COMMUNICATIONS:
DAILY
- Ensure all school communications are professional and of a high standard, adhering to school branding and style guidelines
- Develop and maintain external and internal communications
- Record staff briefing notes and disseminate to Support Staff
- Monitor and update Social Media platforms (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram) with latest school events photos and details
- Monitor and update website content and work with website administrators to ensure website content is up to date and current
- Manage and oversee Display Coordinator
WEEKLY
- Organise and edit Friday Bulletin
MONTHLY/TERMLY
- Work with PTA on termly e-newsletter
- Send out Top Social Media posts newsletter to community
AD HOC
- Manage and update various microsites
- Assist with organisation and marketing/promotion of internal and external events from creation and printing of tickets, invitations, programmes to managing ticket sales and collecting responses
- Proof read, edit and format general external correspondence including emails and letters
- Deal with external and ESF press requests
- Update WIS and ESF policies
- Coordinate school photographs – liaise with photographer, prepare schedule, book venues, etc.
- Advertise school events to the community with the use of social media, posters, etc
- Support with yearbook production as needed
ALUMNI:
- Support development of alumni association
- Research and create termly alumni newsletter
- Manage alumni website and database of members
- Promote Alumni Association
- Create and develop publications and communications for Alumni
- Work with ESF and WIS Careers Team to identify alumni and opportunities for publicity
- Create and find opportunities for alumni to be featured in publications and to visit school
Liaises with Communications and Development Teams at ESF Centre in relation to any Communication initiatives and to arrange visits, filming and photograph opportunities for WIS.
Performs other duties and assumes accountabilities as apparent or as delegated, including mutually agreed upon objectives.

Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years relevant experience
- Fluent English (written and spoken) to a near native level, Cantonese would be an advantage
- Degree educated in a related discipline
- Excellent hands-on experience producing high quality publications
- Accurate data entry and administrative support
- Microsoft Office software including Publisher & Powerpoint
- Graphic and website design software
- Understanding of Wordpress
- Understanding of Facebook/Twitter/Instagram
- Able to multitask and manage one’s time effectively
