Job Description

Responsibilities

A. Account Management

This involves:

  • Manage the running of the accounts and ensuring all aspects of the account are running smoothly
  • Build strong client relationships
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with the local and regional clients based out of Hong Kong
  • Have an existing relationship or understanding of both local and pan-regional media owners and knowledge of research
  • Work closely with the digital resource across the network. It is essential offline and online plans are seamless
  • Gather information and analyse data to produce regional reports as briefed
  • Manage min 3-4 staff not just on day to day but on-going development needs.
  • Work collaboratively with clients other partner agencies.
  • Maintain high standards within the region produce exemplary work

 

 B. Background

The role is primarily to manage a portfolio of brands which include fashion, hotels & beauty clients with a few others across the Asia Pac region. This involves liaison with the global team at DAN in London and reporting to the Business Director in HK. Strategic planning and implementation across both brand and performance initiatives is also required. 

The management requires global directives (strategy, budget allocation, formats, approvals etc) to be implemented in the region as far as possible. It is your role to understand the local requirements and nuances and explain these to the global team and vice versa. You are also expected to contribute to the initiation, development and sharing of creative media ideas, creating regional initiatives with/without media owners. Also the application and usage of the tools and available research. Some pan-regional planning and buying from HK will also be required.

As a key member of the regional team it is your responsibility to enhance the Dentsu Aegis brand name and values. Standards are a high priority in APAC as is best practice, it will be your responsibility to assist in their implementation and maintenance as part of your regional role and dealings with the local DAN offices.

  • Facilitate improved media knowledge and network co-operation
  • Provide a collaborative framework for client & network community
  • Manage international clients
  • Set standards for region & support local markets
  • Build best practice and share experience within the group
  • Develop efficient and reliable reporting and analysis of the regional media activities within the group
  • Communication with global network
  • Develop existing business geographically
  • Provide additional high value services (like comms planning, digital)
  • Win international new business
  • Business information/knowledge management
  • Anticipate market developments through media knowledge and trends

 

D. General

  • Demonstrate an appetite to work with all offices and with other agencies within our network for mutual growth and benefit
  • Demonstrate an infectious enthusiasm for isobar brand and company vision
  • Ability to be self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and organized across multiple projects with various internal teams, clients and deadlines
  • Drive the culture of the team
  • Responsibility for PDPs and staff development

 

Requirements 

  • University graduate
  • Worked in media for at least 5 years
  • Well organized multi-tasker
  • Enthusiastic and keen to take the next step in their media career
  • Good team player and can-do attitude
  • Detail-minded and able to work under pressure
  • Interest in other cultures, languages, people and the brands involved in the role
  • Working knowledge of Asia-Pacific regional market a plus
  • Proficiency in the full suite of Microsoft Office tools, Google Tools, Search and Social Platforms required
  • Fluent, persuasive, and concise English & Cantonese presentation and writing skills is required
