An established Local Law firm is looking for an Assistant Accountant with a high level of energy and ambition.  This person must demonstrate self motivation, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.  The firm is looking to grow its numbers in the coming year, and would to take on board an Assistant Accountant who can work under pressure and deliver on time.

Responsibilities:

• Report to Financial Director
• Consolidate the monthly financial and management reports/ monthly debtors aging report/ monthly costs and fee payment schedule for all Partners in a timely basis
• Manage revenue and costs reconciliations
• Handle month-end closing procedures, tax filling and taxation related issues, internal control, budgeting and forecasting, coordination with external auditors for annual audit and payroll management
• Oversee the billing process
• Reconciliation of ledger accounts
• Oversee bank payments and transactions in accordance to Solicitors’ Accounts Rules with ledger records updated
• Preparing supporting schedules for substantiation of general ledger balances
• Identify business and control issues with recommendation for improvements

Requirements:

• A degree holder in Accounting/ Finance/ Business with at least 2 years of relevant working experience, HKICPA qualified
• Familiar with Hong Kong, China, and Global accounting practice regulations and tax issues
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills
• Proficiency in written and conversational English and Cantonese, Mandarin is a bonus
