Job Description
Responsibilities
- Developing design concepts, trend themes & colours for licence childrens product
- Developing product using technical drawings when requested
- Continuous market research and understanding current licence trends
- Understand the manufacturing and printing processes to ensue designs are viable and cost effective
- Develop a thorough understanding of the brands and customers
- Work closely with Design teams, merchandisers and suppliers to ensure delivery on time
- Ensure teams filing systems are maintained
- Review fabric Lab dip, strike off, colour sample and swatches for colour approval as required
Requirements
- University Graduate with a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Graphic Designer
- Commercial attitude & understanding of cost implications
- Experience working on licensed product - Disney, Peppa Pig, Mike the Knight etc
- Understanding of the manufacturing and printing process in order to create designs that are viable and cost effective
- Effective communication skills in order to work with suppliers to produce designs
- Ability to adhere to tight deadlines and achieve positive results
- High proficiency in Illustrator, Indesign and Photoshop
- Exceptional skills in CAD
- Ability to create 2D and 3D design ranges, highly competent drawing and free hand sketching skills
- Strong Organisational skills to manage the administrative and approval
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Mandarin
- Occasion travel to China and Australia is required
