Job Posting Details

The HKUST Business School is searching for a capable and dynamic individual to fill the position of Assistant Manager/Executive Officer, MBA/MSc Career Development. The role is to support a wide range of the corporate development initiatives and career events of the dedicated MBA or MSc programs in order to strengthen our corporate relationships, enhance students’ employability, and create more internship and graduate placement opportunities for our students and graduates.

Reporting to the Assistant Director, the appointee will focus on the following areas:

  • Career Projects / Initiatives: provide support on career and professional development projects, such as career fairs, corporate receptions, resume book publishings, maintenance of job boards and salesforce system on a regular or an ad-hoc basis.  

  • Corporate and Employer Relations: identify and develop new corporate partnership opportunities, and maintain current recruiters’ relationship in Hong Kong and beyond to provide students with job opportunities. 

  • Career Coaching: keep abreast of students’ career aspirations and job search progress, and be an effective facilitator to map suitable career opportunities for them. In addition, the appointee will need to liaise with external coaches to provide suitable coachings for our students according to their career goals effectively. 
     
  • Career Training and Workshops: work with the Assistant Director on the career workshops and the overall training designs for MBA/Msc students. The appointee will need to understand the needs of different programs and be resourceful to identify relevant career development trainings matching with our world-class standing.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of post-qualification work experience. Candidates with experience in B2B business development, multinational talent acquisition or management, and/or a career with graduate programs are highly desirable. Strong business acumen and a proactive attitude are essential. The ideal candidate should possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with an excellent command of written and spoken English. Fluency in Putonghua is also required. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
