Position Summary 

  • Responsible for the respective experienced recruiting requirements in the Asia region
  • Builds relationships with key stakeholders /clients and candidates for the practice areas within the Asia region
  • Recognized as a recruiting subject matter expert to hiring managers, client service hiring partners and HR leadership
  • Owns the candidate presentation and interview process - which includes taking candidate from source/screen function and manages the FTI candidate experience
  • Responsible for final candidate slate presentation, interview de-briefs, negotiation and final disposition status
  • Utilizes appropriate candidates sources from active, passive, source/screen function, agency and referrals in order to meet business needs
  • Owns internal stakeholder relationship across all practices
  • Exercises influence and/or manages sourcing and screening function in the execution of sourcing strategy
  • Responsible for short-term recruiting initiatives and long-term external recruiting relationships
  • Provides value added recruiting-related insight on both market and business specific nuances during goal-setting process
  • Participates actively in recruiting activities in assigned markets and business units
  • Actively contributes to global recruiting programs and projects
  • Own and maintain pipeline of candidates across all practices across the Asia region
  • Provides detailed and sophisticated reporting to business owners on a consistent basis
  • Leads and participates in recruiting efforts including employee referral campaigns, alumni outreach, top talent identification, local agency needs and business outreach events
  • Establishes network of talent within locations and business through internal activities (promotion, employee referral, internal networking, active solicitation and relationship building) in order to enable external candidate identification
  • Manage more junior members of the talent acquisition team.

 

Job Objectives & Key Metrics

 

Strategy Planning & Analytics:

  • Establish location/business recruiting strategy and targets to support experienced hiring needs
  • Assist business and recruiting leadership in analyzing recruiting data and results, compare to strategy and targets, determine and implement resulting action plan
  • Partners with HR and Client Service key stakeholders to determine and develop business and/or location staffing goals and job descriptions

 

Sourcing:

  • Plan strategic recruiting initiatives for the business (e.g., diversity hiring events, Employee Referral Program (ERP), etc.)
  • Maintain strong working relationships with corporate staff, recruiting function, HR colleagues and business leaders
  • Develop strategic recruiting initiatives targeted by specialization or geographical market.
  • Understands and applies compensation principals in conducting analysis of offer recommendations for competitiveness and internal equity
  • Effectively manages client expectations and education of recruiting compliance
  • Consistently uses applicant tracking system (Taleo) in order to document and move candidates through the work flow
  • Develops consistent and efficient pipeline reporting format to be disseminated to key stake holders          
  • Independently manages data integrity, key reporting metrics, liaise with Marketing & Sales to execute alumni sourcing strategy and drive success
  • Manage business level recruiting agency relationships as needed for difficult markets and roles
  • Maintain a network for potential candidates within the appropriate community specialization
  • Responsible for diversity recruiting efforts and reporting
  • Oversee staff awareness of job postings across Asia
  • Participate in business and community service events where appropriate and applicable to build external network
  • Share candidates with market and recruiting team
  • Manage recruiting of contractors and temps when/where appropriate
  • Possess a working knowledge of Labour Law guidelines as they relate to hiring practices

 

Key Requirements

 

Education Level: 

  • Undergraduate Degree (e.g., BA, BS) or equivalent experience

 

Experience Level: 

  • Min 8 Years relevant experience as a recruiter, preferably in search firms specialising in professional services/management consultancies

 

Other Details:

  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Proven track record of success in internet sourcing, with ability to efficiently navigate and use available tools and multiple and diverse candidate sources
  • Identifies and can recognize significant recruiting issues (volume, source, skill set) and utilizes operational, recruiting and HR leadership in order to come to a solution
  • Ability to identify market changes and trends that will significantly impact recruiting initiatives
  • Ability to train, mentor and guide junior staff with respect to orientation, process and FTI compliance standards
  • Solid understanding of the labor market and effective strategies to recruit within

 

Knowledge, Abilities, Skills: 

  • Experience working as a headhunter in Asia
  • Experience creating market maps
  • Network of contacts in the professional services/management consultancy industries
  • Experience with employment laws, practices and compliance
  • Ability to design and implement creative recruitment solutions.
  • Negotiation and vendor management experience for perm placement
  • Proficient in the Microsoft office suite of products
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin.
  • Superior interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels.
  • Ability to balance multiple demands and work both independently and part of a team to develop solutions.
  • Confidentiality and high standards of integrity.
  • Ability to manage expectations.
  • Ability to prioritize needs and work well under pressure.
