Duties:

• Assist ES Director in formulating and executing strategic plans for Educational Services Department
• Work collaboratively with Senior Programme Officers and Coordinator for Preschool Education to support Educational Services Director
• Coordinate school programmes in the domains of Learning and Teaching
• Monitor and support the development of Learning &Teaching among schools
• Chair the monthly School Heads’ Meeting and supervise at least one School of the Army
• Attend school ceremonies/events and lead school heads for organizing joint schools’ events
• Help monitor and assess the fiscal viability of each educational unit
• Oversee the development of value education among primary schools of the Army
• Attend meetings held by EDB and outside organizations (e.g. HK Association of School Sponsoring Bodies) related to school development matters
• Monitor the web page Schools of the Army
• Support Holistic Ministry and promote School-Corps collaboration
• Perform any legitimate duties assigned by ES Director / Leadership

Requirements:

• Understanding of the Christian faith, values and ethos of The Salvation Army
• Degree in Education or related disciplines; post graduate qualification in an education related area is desirable
• At least 10 years’ experience in School education with at least 5 years in leadership position
• Sound knowledge about School education system and related government policies of Hong Kong
• Strategic thinking, leadership skills, resourceful, innovative and dynamic
• Demonstrated capacity to gain trust and work effectively in a team environment
• Organized, detail-oriented and possess excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Strong communication skills in English and Chinese (written and verbal)
• Immediate available is highly preferable
