The role brings regular opportunities to interact and work with a large number of people from across the territory, many of whom hold senior positions.


The successful candidate will be line managed by a team leader within the China / HK Learning & Development team. The role will have people management responsibility for one other person.


This role would particularly suit someone who is committed to pursuing a career in Learning & Development. It would also suit people looking for a cycle of experience t o broaden their experience of the network and to practice their skills in a different environment.


The role
The successful candidate will work with China / HK L&D Leadership and team members, responsible for developing, executing and keeping current L&D’s strategy for identifying, maintaining and categorizing informal learning content on behalf of the territory. They will be responsible for curating, prioritizing, and refreshing firm wide learning content of a variety of mediums, and mapping that content to the appropriate PwC Professional dimensions.
The Librarian will have broad oversight responsibility for the learning content ensuring that it remains relevant, current and aligned to the PwC Professional and will play a key role in ensuring timely updates to Vantage, our learning interface. This individual will oversee both internal and external library sources, making recommendations for new content and capabilities, including influencing potential future 3rd party content vendor strategy, and identifying new opportunities for content integration. The role of Librarian also requires a deep understanding of adult learning theory and how learning & development functions at PwC. Requires working knowledge of all responsibilities related to L&D project management, instructional design, systems and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage implementation of the curation content strategy in line with global best practice
  • Work with the curation lead to influence the content strategy and to liaise with keystakeholders, including L&D leadership and their teams
  • Lead calls with L&D Leaders and their teams to gain understanding on business issues inorder to perform informed curation of xLoS content
  • Research, identify, and make recommendations for new internal and external learningcontent and content sources
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external xLoS learning content providers
  • Maintain content management processes, including identifying solutions to optimizecontent management in coordination with the Vantage core team
  • Define and operate processes for communicating and working within the curationcommunity and other contributory teams on the global collection of informal learning assets in Vantage; what’s new and what’s coming
  • Liaise with Vantage team to influence functionality roadmap and overall UX
  • Own and maintain end to end curation workflow including tagging, IP permissions, anddeployment including identifying opportunities to tech enable and optimize entire process
  • Manage curation metrics and reporting
  • Recommend and market new learning assets to showcase and maintain dialogue to review with the curation lead and L&D Leadership
  • Lead sessions on content curation, process and skills to upskill China/HK L&D team
  • Monitor work and coach librarian administrator ensuring quality work is performed
  • Be an active member of curation community of interest, working with global and other territory L&D curation reps to drive high quality and relevance to China / HK - e.g. ensure best practice is adopted within our territory and contributing content to the global catalogue
