Job Description
Major Responsibilities
Attend to the services support hotline and provide high quality support to member banks on all the clearing and settlement services. Major duties include:
- Respond to enquiries and perform operational duties relating to the operations of paper cheque and electronic clearing and settlement, the usage of e-cheque drop box service and the core and overlay services of the Faster Payment System
- Handle hotline services as assigned by superiors
- Record enquiries and escalate abnormalities/deficiencies for problem resolution as and when required
- Manage and analyze all feedbacks and comments received to improve the service processes and quality
- Conduct testing activities and prepare documentation and reports
- Perform shift duty on a 7x24 roster basis
- Support other duties or projects as assigned
Requirements
- HKCEE/HKDSE or above, with tertiary education preferred
- At least two years' call centre experience, previous experience in banking and finance industry preferred
- Will be required to work at alternative sites and perform evening or overnight shift duties (attractive shift allowance will be provided)
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and able to work independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office applications
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Cantonese. Fluency in Putonghua is an advantage

- interbank money settlement of equity and debt securities transactions in Hong Kong via linkage established with the Hong Kong Securities Clearing Company Limited and Central Moneymarkets Unit system (CMU);
- interbank small value funds transfer denominated in HKD and RMB, i.e. the HKD and RMB faster payment systems (FPS);
- interbank clearing and/or money settlement of retail payments in Hong Kong such as paper cheques, autodebits, autocredits, credit card payments, etc.; and
- the HKMA’s CMU system, as a computer operator.
