We are recruiting Legal Assistants to start in the firm’s Hong Kong office. TheLegal Assistants would primarily work in the Corporate – Capital Markets group, which continues to buildsignificant momentum in Asia.

These are attractive job opportunities for those who are interested in a career in law (or investment banking) in Asia. The Legal Assistants will work closely with associates and partners on a variety ofassignments for Asia-based clients. Successful candidates will gain strong transactional experience in IPOs and other corporate finance transactions. They will also regularly interact with senior management of the firms' clients and have the opportunity to work on transactions with a high degree of independence. The firm's merit-based culture allows enterprising candidates to take on significant responsibilities. High-performance candidates will have the opportunity for advancement within the firm, and may open up a number of other future opportunities to pursuea career in corporate finance in Asia, particularly in Hong Kong and Mainland China.

Suitable candidates shall be highly motivated, interested in law or business in Asia, and willing to commit at least two years to the positions. Following two types of candidates are welcome.

• Without legal education background: Completed degree with major in Accounting, Finance,   Business, English, Media and Communication is preferred. Having related work experience or qualification is preferred.
• With legal education background: Qualified lawyer in Australia, United Kingdom, United States or PRC ideally. Trained and qualified at any major law firm would be an advantage.  

Candidates should have strong academic qualifications with reputable universities (law degree for qualified lawyer candidates).  Near native written and spoken English and native in Mandarin are essential.  Interested candidates should send a cover letter, resume and academic transcripts for applying this position.
