Job Description

CLP Engineering Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of the CLP Holdings Limited. We undertake a variety of engineering work including energy services, facility management, power engineering and smart infrastructure. We are looking for an energetic and innovative engineering professional to join the Power Engineering Branch, CLP Engineering Ltd. Reporting to the Project Manager, the appointee will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Lead the Integrated Vegetation Management (IVM) team to carry out overhead line patrol and vegetation management services
  • Ensure effective project management including project program monitoring, cost control, material and resources planning, and supervision of tradesmen and staff
  • Coordinate with staff in the regions, Government officials and other parties to plan, schedule, and set up proper procedures and precautions to meet the contract requirements and Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) standards
  • Prepare project reports including handover acceptance reports, costing sheet, project performance record and other agreed project deliverables
  • Coordinate with international experts, develop and implement training programs for IVM tradesmen to attain the specialized skills in vegetation management and overhead line patrol

Requirements

  • A recognized University degree in Arboriculture, Electrical Engineering or relevant disciplines plus at least 5 years’ relevant working experience
  • Corporate membership of a recognized relevant professional body, such as ISA or HKIE would be an advantage
  • Sound knowledge on project and vegetation management
  • Knowledge in Power Engineering business and Arboriculture is preferable
  • Strong supervisory, communication and leadership skills
  • Customer-oriented, self-motivated, a good team player and able to work independently and under pressure
  • Candidate with a valid driving license (1 or 2) is preferable
  • Candidate with less experience and lower qualification will be considered as Senior Project Engineer
