Job Description

CLP Engineering Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of the CLP Holdings Limited. We undertake a variety of engineering work including energy services, facility management, power engineering and smart infrastructure. We are looking for an energetic and innovative engineering professional to join the Power Engineering Branch, CLP Engineering Ltd. Reporting to the Project Manager, the appointee will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Ensure effective project management of site activities including material and resources planning and utilization
  • Supervise the contractors to complete the Distribution cable trench work within schedule in accordance with Highways and CLP Power standards
  • Coordinate with clients, programming engineer and contractors in preparing excavation permit applications
  • Conduct site checks and audits to ensure work quality, safety and good housekeeping practices are maintained at work sites and are able to meet the Company’s requirements and Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) standards
  • Liaise with suppliers, government parties, developers, contractors and other related parties in the cable trench excavation work, site activities and site disputes
  • Prepare project handover reports
  • Assist Project Manager in carrying out work schedule planning

Requirements

  • Higher Diploma in Electrical or Building Services plus at least 3 years’ relevant site work experience
  • Possession of Construction Industry Safety Training Certification (Green Card) and Construction Workers Registration Card
  • Knowledge of CLP SHEQ requirement, Highways standards, Road Opening Regulations and Traffic Impact Knowledge is preferable
  • Strong supervisory and communication skills
  • Customer-oriented, self-motivated, a good team player and able to work independently and under pressure
  • Candidate with a valid driving license ( 1 or 2 ) is preferable
  • Candidates with less experience may be considered as Technical Assistant
