Job Description

The Associate Director of Student Affairs reports to the Director of Student Affairs.

Responsibilities:

  • To assist the Director of Student Affairs in overseeing the planning, organization and delivery of student development programmes and services to enhance students’ learning experience, and to support the strategic development of the College;
  • To lead and provide direct supervision of work teams and staff, including the provision of scholarship and financial schemes, communication and resources, student organizations, service learning initiatives and development programmes, first year experience and campus life, support for non-local students and exchange activities; 
  • To collaborate with Residential College Masters, Associate Masters, Tutors, departments, faculties and students in implementing the Residential College System, designing living and learning programmes and coordinating the effective management of the Residential Colleges; 
  • To drive and coordinate department-level, inter-departmental, College-wide projects and external events; to steer and support committee work; and
  • To plan and solicit funding and/or support for new initiatives or projects.

  • have the passion for student development and learning;
  • have good academic and professional qualifications with substantial years of relevant professional experience;
  • possess very good planning, analytical, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills;
  • have good command of English and Chinese; and
  • be able to work as an individual contributor as well as a team member.
