Responsibilities:

• Reports directly to CEO
• Supervises all school teaching personnel, directly and/or indirectly
• To serve as chief administrator of the school in developing and implementing policies, programs, curriculum activities, and budgets in a manner that promotes the educational development of each student and the professional development of each teaching staff
• Conceptualize the broad goals of the school and plans accordingly to ensure that proper procedures and schedules are implemented to carry out the total school program
• Ensures that the school program is compatible with legal, financial and organizational structure of the school system. The principal defines the responsibilities and accountability of staff members and plans for interpreting the school program to the community
• Provides activities which facilitate the professional growth of the school teaching staff and enhance the quality of the instructional program
• Identify the annual objectives for the instructional and extra-curricular programs of the school
• Ensures that instructional objectives for a given subject and/or classroom are developed and involves the teaching staff and others in development of specific curricular objectives to meet the needs of the school program.
• Evaluates student progress in the instructional programs by means that includes the maintaining of up-to-date student data.
• Evaluates, supervises and appraises the teaching staff performance
• Maintains inter-school communication and seek assistance from central office staff to improve performance
• Maintains good relationship with students, staff and parents
• Orients and assists new staff and new students and provides opportunities for their input to the school programs
• Encourage the use of community resources, co-operates with community, interprets the school programs for the community, and maintains communications with community
• Manages, directs and maintain good records on the material, supplies and equipment which are necessary to carry out the daily school routine
• Organizes, oversee and provide support to the various services, supplies, material and equipment provided to carry out the school program

Requirement:

• Possess a Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education/Teaching from a recognized university
• Prior experience in curriculum creation and management is a must
• Prior experience in dealing with EDB is a must
• Prior experience in EYFS is a definite advantage
• Excellent communication in English, Cantonese and Putonghua
• Innovative, self-motivated, high initiative and excellent leadership skill
• Excellent written and communication skills is required
• At least 3-5 years as a principal in international pre-school
