Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Support implementation of Innovation & Technology Fund project
  • Perform R&D duties including desktop research, system design and development, mechanical design in 2D & 3D modeling, system integration, testing and system verification, preparing reports, etc
  • Assist in organizing and delivering marketing events such as study missions, workshops, technical seminars, etc.
  • Undergo on-job training in technology development including plastic and metal processing, computer aided engineering, machinery design and manufacturing, etc
  • The training will be under HKIE’s Scheme “A” Training Program – MCL or MIE discipline
  • Travel to Mainland China occasionally for project implementation
  • Support ad hoc projects and assignments when required

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree or above from discipline in Mechanical / Manufacturing /Industrial Engineering / Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering or equivalent from a local university
  • Skill in Computer Aided Engineering (CAE), Computer Aided Design (CAD), and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) (e.g. Solidworks, Ansys, Siemens NX, etc) an advantage
  • Skill in PLC programming and motion control a plus
  • Self-initiative, good interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
  • Mature, self-motivated, and able to work independently
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, including Putonghua
