Job Description

We are looking for a Consultant to join our Hong Kong office as we continue to grow our Transaction Advice business in East Asia. Reporting to our regional Transaction Advice Leader, you will help to originate and execute infrastructure advisory / project finance engagements that leverage the firm’s broad range of technical and commercial expertise.

 
Responsibilities:

  • Execute consulting engagements, in particular feasibility studies and due diligence projects, involve close coordination with Arup’s technical experts to provide clients with integrated commercial and technical advice
  • Build and run complex financial and decision support models
  • Undertake detailed research to support project delivery and/or business development initiatives
  • Take primary responsibility for effective project management during project delivery phases
  • Support senior team members to identify and pitch for consulting projects across East Asia
  • Build relationships with both internal and external clients
  • Get involved in knowledge sharing initiatives and support the development of other team members

Qualifications and Experiences required:

  • Degree in Business, Accounting, Economics or Finance
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification either completed or in progress (e.g. CA/CPA, CFA, etc.)
  • 5-7 years of advisory experience in corporate finance, project finance or related disciplines gained within Big 4 audit firm or banking industry
  • With understanding of Public Private Partnership (PPP) structures
  • Familiarity with financing products across the capital structure
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • With proven ability to build and run complex financial models
  • With strong numeracy skills, proven problem solving skills and ability to work with limited supervision to meet tight deadlines
  • Able to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues at both working and executive levels
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English, and at least one of the following Asian languages: Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Melayu
