About the role

The role is working for the Head of a new Telecoms/IT portfolio, who is managing the acquisition, growth and integration of a set of newly acquired assets. The portfolio comprises fully operational entities and new projects in the region. You will be supporting the Head by:

• Inputting on project feasibility, operating models and business plans
• Getting involved with investee companies and projects at an operational level
• Understanding current status of initiatives and projects, ensuring they are correctly planned, budgeted and tracked
• Working with investee companies, JV partners, government departments and suppliers
• Having a broad understanding of the Telecoms/Datacentre (IT Infrastructure) space from design, construction, commissioning to accreditation.

About the person

To be suitable for this role you will need:

• Experience at the strategy, operating model design and investment/business case creation level
• To have worked at Board level with a detailed understanding of budgeting, costing and business planning
• More than 15 years of experience working in the IT Infrastructure/Telecoms industry
• Experience on large-scale Datacentre (>1,000 racks) builds preferred. China work experience preferred
• Fluent English mandatory with fluent Mandarin highly desired. Excellent standard of artefact production in English mandatory
• Energetic and pro-active approach to problem solving and issue resolution required
• Business or IT-related degree. MBA an advantage.
