My client is a branded audio manufacturer and a hong kong listed company. Their business also has OEM/ODM product development. 

Responsibilities: 

l   Responsible for the new product development on mechanical design perspective 

l   Fulfill customer requirement and costing in timely scheduled target 

l   Manage technical issues including mechanical construction, artwork, packaging and tooling design issues 

l   Analyze and apply computer simulation results for design improvements 

l   Define component specifications for ensuring the product quality and competence level 

l   Track product development progress in terms of cost analysis and achievements 

l   Develop, train and provide guidance to engineers in various levels

Requirements: 

l   Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, Good Education Profile is an advantage 

l   At least 10 years of relevant experience with 3 years at managerial level.   Experience in audio related products is preferred. 

l   Good knowledge in various tool designs for metallic and plastic components 

l   Good knowledge in thermal dissipation and mechanical structure computer simulations 

l   Good knowledge on structural design, packaging design, design for manufacturing and problem solving techniques 

l   Ability to deal with ambiguity and willingness to accept challenging assignments 

l   Good interpersonal, communication and leadership skills 

l   Proficient in English and Chinese, fluent in Putonghua will be an advantage 

l   Based in Shenzhen office with frequent travel to meetings in the Hong Kong office
