Role Overview

The Technical Project Manager of ORII Enterprise will play a critical role in building the ORII Enterprise Solution. The ideal candidate will be able to extract a client’s requirements, own the development of the resulting features, and project manage multiple deployments.

This role is suitable for you if you delight in creating never-before-seen products, and thrive on building efficient new company systems free from legacy, perfectly evolved to your mission, and ready to scale as the team grows. You quickly grasp what clients’ teams struggle with, and translate this into compelling user stories using ORII. You draw inspiration working in a young, internationally recruited team of diverse academic and cultural origin.

The position reports to the Head of Enterprise Solutions, and offers exposure to startup business operations, strategy, marketing, and business development.

Job Duties

  • Recruit and manage a mobile development team (including overseas developers);
  • Join the product manager on customer pitches;
  • Help to convert customer needs into user stories;
  • Collaborate with the ORII hardware technology team, for tight integration with your software;
  • Drive sprints according to release phases in the product roadmap, and do progress updates internally to the business;
  • Manage ticketing (e.g. JIRA), track product pipeline and clear backlog;
  • Document new features in release notes;
  • Create mock-ups of the mobile and web UX;
  • Upon receiving POs, manage customer tests (UATs) to launch the commercial deployment of ORII in a HaaS model, e.g. at a luxury hotel;
  • Perform ad-hoc assignments that arise in the ORII Enterprise business.

Features you would build include: A push-to-talk audio message platform (adaptable to different cloud storage configurations); Spoken commands to voice-control existing enterprise software (e.g. in hotels, retail etc); A web dashboard for displaying communication activity.

Requirements

  • A team player with a high level of creativity and passion for startups, and for product development. A degree involving software development is an advantage.
  • Experience shipping software solutions to customers. A track record of coding / publishing your own app to the App / Play Store is an advantage.
  • Experience managing developers based overseas, from interviewing / recruiting, to driving their deliverables on time and budget.
  • Cantonese/Mandarin, and experience in generating statistical insights from audio / text data are an advantage.

Details

  • Willing to sponsor a working visa for qualified candidates
  • Office is based in Kowloon Tong
  • MPF and health insurance
  • Salary $20-$40K/month based on level of experience
  • 14 days annual leave

If you have a hunger to build something truly new, work with an experienced and closely-knit team, we want you on board!
