Roles and responsibilities
the principal responsibilities and routine tasks of a Network Engineer are as follows:
- Responsible for Project Implementation, Demo& POC ,Configuration and installation;
- Provide efficient and effective IT support to end-users;
- Daily operation maintenance, emergency support, follow-up support issues;
- participate in the definition of standards, procedures, best practices and metrics as indicated;
- Apply and use the tools and work methodologies in place;
- Answer user questions and service requests;
- Perform all other related tasks.
Technical knowledge
- CCNA, CCNP or other certifications will be advantages;
- ITIL Certification;
- Knowledge with QoS, routing – EIGRP, BGP or OSPF, WAN IPSec encryption;
- Knowledge of VMware and other virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V;
- Knowledge of Public Cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud);
- Experience in Router / Switches / Firewall / AP configuration: e.g, Cisco, Juniper, Fortigate, Sophos, etc;
- General knowledge of Linux.
Abilities
- Bachelor Degree holder in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines;
- Good understanding of English, both written and spoken;
- Ability to develop techniques and methods to solve new problems or situations;
- 2 years or above working experience in network infrastructure design and support (Fresh Graduated will also be considered);
- Honesty, integrity and confidentiality must be maintained at all times;
- Demonstrates team spirit, positivity and leadership;
- Good interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to work efficiently in a rapidly evolving environment;
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities.
