Executive Summary:

• Report directly to the Head of Technology based in Hong Kong
• Newly created role - subject matter expert in IT infrastructure function

• Manage the day to day operations and to develop and communicate the strategy for the HK IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage operational aspects of Hong Kong Infrastructure.
• Recommend improvements to existing technology, processes and procedures.
• Identify mandatory work/projects at both a local and global level and advise on priorities
• Assist the Head of IT in formulating and delivering our Cloud strategy.
• Define ITIL processes of Strategy, Design, Transition, Operations and Continual Service Improvement.
• Responsible for the Hong Kong infrastructure and also be involved with the future of infrastructure strategy across APAC.
• Responsible for the strategy and development of the following IT systems and services
• -Data Storage
• -Server Hardware
• -Active Directory
• -Data Backup
• -Server Operating Systems
• -IT Business Continuity Plans
• -Datacentres
• -Public \ Private Cloud

 Skills and Knowledge:

• Degree Holder in IT or Engineering or Relevant
• At least 10 years of technical experience in IT Infrastructure domain
• Extensive experience working with and managing the major technologies within an IT infrastructure.
• Experience of developing procedures and policies to ensure excellent service delivery.
• Experience of managing significant IT infrastructure change
• Experience of identifying and delivering cost-effective solutions
• Good knowledge of the technologies within the infrastructure function
• Knowledge of how to critique system designs and solutions.
• Experience working with system vendors
• Experience with VMware, vCentre and Hyper-V virtual server operations.
• Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
• Platform as a Service (PaaS)
• Software as a Service (SaaS)
• ITILv3 experience is a plus
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and Office 365 is desirable.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin
• Team player with excellent collegiate and collaborative skills
• Analytical decision maker with commendable problem solving, negotiation, strategic communication and inter-personal skills
• Keep up to date with new technologies
