My client, a leading European Corporate and Investment Bank with offices across the globe, is currently seeking an experienced Technologist to join in a Regional Lead role in Hong Kong. Reporting to the Head of IT for Lending, Operations & Finance for APAC,  you will be responsible for the following:

• Act as a team lead to design solutions, conduct projects and organise support for CIB, BI applications (ETL, data warehouses, dashboards and reports development) based on loan management systems, trade finance systems, capital markets systems etc. 
• Provide support and maintain the availability of BI applications whether hosted in Head office or Asia, i.e. Data warehouses, real-time ad-hoc reporting modules, online reports publishing interfaces and regulatory reporting systems 
• You will also be responsible for transversal tools such as hr/compliance/finance as well as user production IT tools (CFT, MQ-Series, Control-M
• Coordinate with local and head-office teams to release applications in appropriate environments
• Provide incident/problem communications & reporting on the BI perimeter
• Track activity in project/support management tools to enhance end-user service level and facilitate support tasks

Requirements 

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science or related field 
• Solid experience with BI and ETL tools such as BUSINESS OBJECTS, COGNOS, ORACLE BI & ORACLE DATA INTEGRATOR, INFORMATICA, QLIK gained in a financial institution
• Strong knowledge of SQL and ability to develop complex queries
• Data warehouse design, data modelling and visualisation
• Fluent in written & spoken professional English
