We are looking for a high caliber professional to join the Information Technology Group of CLP Power Hong Kong Limited. Reporting to the respective Functional Domain Leader, the appointee will be responsible for the following duties:

• Manage implementation of business intelligence/data analytics initiatives, with primary focus on development and operations (DevOps) transformation to support continuous delivery and automate the deployment process
• Engage collaboratively with development team and data scientists to deploy and operate the data analytics and mathematical algorithms in production environment
• Design and implement the automation and management tools to streamline the operations and processes, and manage code release, testing and deployment
• Plan and manage the production deployment pipeline to ensure meeting the agreed timeline and quality of deliverables
• Engage and manage project stakeholders to ensure the success of production deployment with effective communication and collaboration
• Engage and manage external vendors / contractors for service delivery and consultancy
• Supervise and provide technical and professional guidance to team members to achieve the required quality, effectiveness, functionalities and timeliness of deliverables

Requirements

• At least 5 years' IT experience in developing and implementing data analytics initiatives, with 2 years of experience as DevOps
• A recognized University degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems or equivalent. DevOps and/or Project Management certification is an advantage
• Strong project management skills in planning, stakeholder management, governance, issues and risk management
• Demonstrated experience in managing vendors, handling escalations, and managing internal as well as external staffed projects is a must
• Experience in DevOps processes, implementation and operation
• Experience in automation tools and auto-provisioning software
• Experience or good understanding of container such as Docker
• Experience in cloud data analytics platform technologies with big data project experience is a must
• Experience in statistical analysis, data mining, programming or scripting experience (in any of Python, R, Scala etc) a strong advantage
• Experience in database concepts (data lakes, data warehouses, data pipelines, SQL Server, Hadoop, NoSQL), ETL, data modelling concepts and approaches, and performance tuning
• Strong coordination, problem solving, analytical mind, presentation and communication skills
• Self-motivated, fast learner, able to work under pressure and commitment to meet project deadlines
• Proactive, innovative and be flexible to work in a multi-cultural environment
• Regional exposure in the Asia-Pacific region
• Fluent in spoken and written English
