Job Description
Our client is a global supermarket from Europe and they are now hiring a Database & Application Specialist and the successful candidate will need to have experience in Oracle Essbase and Hyperion Planning.
Responsibility:
- Handle development and maintenance phases of projects with Oracle, MS-SQL databases, middleware in a distributed computing environment
- Participate in projects, contributing in database/application support, installation, integration as well as subsequent administration
- Enhance the functionality of Business Intelligence (BI) platforms, Oracle Essbase and Hyperion Planning
- Application development and maintenance.
- Provide business-as-usual support for application systems in areas of monitoring, tuning, backups and patching.
- System and technical documentation
- Participate in ad-hoc task as and when assigned by his/her Supervisor
Requirement:
- 3+ year database experience in an enterprise production environment
- Working knowledge in Windows/Linux is a must
- Working knowledge of Oracle 10g/11g/12c, Oracle Essbase, Hyperion Planning and MS SQL is desirable
- Hands-on programming skills in web technology: Java, JavaScript, HTML5, PHP, JSP, CSS, Node.js, jQuery would be an advantage
- Working knowledge of programming in SQL, PLSQL is desirable
- Good knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) and ETL is desirable
- Good knowledge on computer hardware, systems and software applications
