Our client a US Storage Vendor is seeking an Enterprise Data Architect to join their team.

 Enterprise Architect is a key role in the implementation project teams with responsibility to provide high-level and detailed architecture options with clarity as to the impact of options and recommendations; and communicate to senior stake holders throughout the project life cycle.

The responsibility includes leading collaborative development of architecture recommendations where required; including running workshops with users and other architects and engaging vendors and delivery teams to arrive at recommendations; as well as ownership and detailed effort to physically produce architecture documentation deliverables and achieve project governance approvals.

Responsibilities:

 Architect

With focus on ETL and Data Warehouse:

• Understand customer requirements.
• Collaboratively, create high-level architecture, impact assessments with recommendations.
• Lead and perform the build-out of detailed architecture documents including any required options & decisions and on-time achieve stake holder approvals for design.
• Guide the delivery team to build as designed and assist in the resolution of technical issues and testing.
• Provide roadmaps for ongoing improvement to architecture.
• Make vendor recommendations as necessary.
• Coach and manage vendor design creation.

 Requirement:

• Very strong communications and customer facing skills.
• 5-10 years’ experience as an enterprise architect or equivalent
• 5-10 years’ experience in data warehousing, ETL, big data
• Strong understanding of data source systems.
• Strong understanding of data security.
• Ability to optimize architecture recommendations for multiple objectives such as performance, ease of use, scalability & operational efficiency.
• Understanding of enterprise IT project and release management processes and ability to work effectively as a leader in the context of a system integrator delivering mission critical applications to large enterprise IT organizations.
• Strong technical skills in data architecture supporting diversity of business application use cases. 
• Self-motivated and demonstrated ability to work as a member of a dynamic winning team
• Advantageous:
• Pentaho experience
• Ability to architect hardware underpinning data warehouse applications.
• IOT architecture experience
• Experience with data warehouse in the financial industry.
