The Job

•   Reporting to Practice Manager, analyze and monitor project status, quality and financial performance of a portfolio of projects
•  Work with project managers to structure project plans and determine progress milestones based on deliverables, contractual requirements and payment terms
• Perform regular reviews with project managers on project status for portfolio of projects, analyzing progress, risks and issues and financial health
• Produce analysis and reports for business unit heads and top management
• Work with internal departments, e.g. Finance, Procurement, Legal, etc., to improve support for Practice Management and project managers through process improvement and better information exchange and communication
• Support project managers on change order management and billing (interaction with customer personnel
•  Develop guidelines, templates, training materials and other supporting tools to facilitate project management
• Perform analysis on portfolio of projects to provide insight on performance by customer, by industry, by solution, on risk landscape, etc. to industry, capability and executive teams
• Review and monitor compliance to project management and corporate process requirements for portfolio of projects
• Potential travel to Mainland China and other project locations for project reviews and other practice management activities (esp. senior officer)

The Person

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or related areas
• A minimum of 3 years relevant experience (6 years for Senior Officer), including IT project management experience, project-based financial planning and analysis, practice management in a consulting environment, management process improvement etc.
• Strong relationship management skills for working in multicultural environment and with project managers of different styles
• Good analytical skills with proactive mindset
• Self-initiator with improvement oriented mindset to help establish new/improve current processes and tools
•  Good verbal and written communication skills in Cantonese, Putonghua and English for communicating with project managers and customer personnel across locations and cultures and for producing executive analysis
•  Experience in planning, organizing, and delivering change a plus
