The job:

You will have responsibility for growth of the portfolio with our bancassurance partner.

What you will do:

• Underwrite business according to defined underwriting guidelines
• Visit our bancassurance partner and promote Chubb coverage, products and services to internal and external clients. This may involve monitoring business acquisition and retention as well as maximising cross-selling opportunities
• To assist in formulating underwriting strategy, forecasts and portfolio management in order to achieve underwriting profitability. To ensure quality control within defined area of responsibility by undertaking quantitative underwriting reviews
• To prioritise and develop products within area of specialist expertise in order to improve client retention and new business. This may involve collaborating with peers within and across business lines in APAC as well as globally

What you will need:

• University graduate or equivalent insurance professional qualifications
• 3 to 5 years of work experience in commercial lines underwriting
• Work experience in marine underwriting is a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse cultures
• Good command in both spoken and written English and Cantonese. Proficiency in Mandarin is a plus
• PC literate in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
