Duties and Responsibilities:

The Assistant General Manager is required to station in Vietnam factory and provide day-to-day assistance and support to the General Manager of our Vietnam factory, and also to the Vice President Factory Operations and the President of the company in Hong Kong, on carrying out the following duties:-  

• Manage the factory in Vietnam (Nam Dinh City, about 100 km south of capital Ha Noi)
• Monitor all order planning, administration, production and logistic.
• Handle and resolve day-to-day problems.
• Hold accountability for the P&L of the plant.
• Oversee and in charge of production, engineering, operation, human resources, finance and sales.
• Provide overall leadership and directions regarding the development of strategic objectives, manpower plan, cost accounting and cost control.
• Initiate annual business development plan that establishes goals, objectives, strategies and budget requirements for the company’s continuous growth.
• Assess the efficiency of current production methodologies and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical advice, production and quality assurance.
• Launch plans and strategies to expand customer base in the marketing area.
• Responsible for product development, launching new products and components and enhancing existing products.
• Provide leadership towards the achievement of profit maximization.
• Ensure deliverables are accomplished within target timeframes with high quality.
• Facilitate the development of products from product quality conceptualization to product specification and implementation.
• Contribute to the development of training and educational programs for staff. 
• If can manage the whole IBM AS/400 System, including daily controls and operations and making modifications to enhance the system components/programs, is an advantage.

Requirements:

• University graduates with degree in Business related discipline.
• At least 10 years experience in industrial field.
• Must have very strong organizing ability and management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, well-organized with strong project management, self-motivated, good quality and working attitude, detailed minded, cost conscientious and able to work under pressure.
• Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua.
• Hand-on experience in business operations of WOFE (Wholly Owned Foreign Enterprise) in Vietnam is an advantage.
• In depth knowledge on US and EEC markets.
• Strong strategic and analytic thinking on business development.
• Knowledge about candle production, is an advantage.
• Solid sourcing experience, is also an advantage
• If having In-depth knowledge on IBM AS/400 System, able to master and operate the entire system, including ability to make modifications to enhance the system component/program operations, is an advantage.
