Responsibilities:

• This position exists is to ensure all components of a garment match in shade. All shade problems should be identified and responsible department(s) should be notified. The most important reason that this position exists is to correct shade before fabric is cut and sewn. This position will also perform physical lab testing as a secondary responsibility as assigned by Manager.
• Approve shade of lab dips of laces and fabrics used in contractor production. Check lab dips with approved standard using a spectrophotometer and visually. Ensure overall color quality and on time rate.
• Approve shades of production lots of elastics, laces, hook and eye fabric, and metal parts as shown on color component card from contractor. Must check shade of all components with shade standard and run card.
• Advise the Colorlab at US headquarter of any shade problems by sending examples of component with shade problem to US Sourcing so decisions can be made before garments are sewn
• Communicate with vendors and team in office of any shade problems and directions for correcting in order to better Pass Through Rate and to have fewer batches of fabric rejected for re-dye.
• Provide summary of materials tested for physicals or color as directed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma with some experience in quality & color matching. Diploma in Textile Technology or Chemistry would be helpful. Experience in lab testing methods by AATCC and ASTM methods is preferred.
• Passing shade test and understanding of shade guide lines is a must.
• With knowledge of components in a style. 
• Needs excellent communication skills. Open minded with positive working & learning attitude.
• Proficient computer skills. Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese.
