Job Description
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop media relations plans (including strategy, goals, budgets and tactics), aiming at high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media for tradeshows;
- Leverage existing media relationships (local, regional and international) and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media in order to improve press efforts and exposures for tradeshows;
- Develop and evaluate opportunities for media partnerships on an on-going basis;
- Manage and monitor press inquiry hotline / email account, metrics, media relations processes and press release approvals;
- Propose ideas proactively for media pitches to stimulate media coverage;
- Write pitches, backgrounders, press releases, byline articles, key messages and blog posts, etc.;
- Support framing and development of main message points for better position prior to media interviews;
- Prepare speeches, talk points and varied communications materials assisting company spokesperson(s) in interviews;
- Direct management of team-members to execute media programs;
- Monitor, analyze and communicate results;
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree or above
- At least 6-8 years of managerial experience in media relations. Trade show experience will be an advantage
- Good Relationship with Medias (local, regional and international). Good business and marketing sense
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Fluent in spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin
