Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Successfully manage the media related responsibilities and duties in a professional manner to strengthen the media relations with the Army and to increase the publicity opportunities of the Army
- Keep up-to-date with all issues that affect the Army, promptly and precisely formulate necessary communication strategies
- Formulate and implement communication plans and media events
- Develop media contacts and enhance media relations, monitor and evaluate media coverage
- Deal with general enquiries and complaints from the public and media
- Prepare annual reports, corporate collaterals, external and internal communication messages and presentation materials
- Provide copywriting services for corporate publications
- Create editorial calendars, generate, edit, publish and share social media contents
- Perform any other legitimate duties assigned by the supervisor and management
REQUIREMENTS
- An understanding of the Christian faith, values and ethos of The Salvation Army
- Diploma or degree in languages, corporate communications or marketing with at least 5 years’ relevant working experience
- Social media, online publishing experience and photography skill are required
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Attentive to details, well organized, with good interpersonal skill
- Excellent communication skill in both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications
- Overtime and occasional work on holidays as and when required
- Immediate available is highly preferable
- Candidates with less relevant experience will be considered as Communications Officer
