This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and hands-on communications professional with a particular interest working across both traditional media and social media.  You will be skilled in securing media exposure and brand-building, event management and communications counsel to the CEO and developing communications and marketing collateral.

 The role would suit a resourceful, and solutions-oriented self-starter.  

About the Role:

• Develop and implement strategic communications initiatives across multiple traditional and social media platforms from writing content to media outreach.
• Serve as primary company contact to the media and assists senior management in developing media (article/interview) opportunities that support branding and revenue generation.
• Establish and nurture relationships with media contacts. Identify new press opportunities and coordinate outreach and follow-up. Serve as media liaison with acquired agencies.
• Write, edit and distribute press releases on company news and events. Oversee content and distribution of press releases and interviews.
• Arrange interviews and draft talking points on industry trends and topics and coach CEO in preparation for media interviews and speaking engagements.
• Collaborate with senior leaders, subject matter experts, sales and marketing teams on the creation of a comprehensive external communications plan around thought-leadership and key initiatives.
• Provide creative input and editing ideas for marketing materials, PR proposals, presentations, corporate websites, intranet
• Manage and carry out marketing and PR campaigns, including sizable and high quality corporate events

About You:

• Bachelors Degree in Journalism, Communications, English or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in corporate communications with strong ability in proactive media relations, brand-building, thought leadership and event management
• A proven track record creating innovative and targeted communications programs that enhance brand equity and generate media coverage.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and advanced level of presentation development and delivery.
• Outstanding writing and editing skills.
• Established understanding of the media landscape and existing relationships with industry press.
• Proficiency in creation of PR materials, PR tools, PR measurement and social media.
• Strong analytical ability and superior work ethic.
• English, Cantonese and Mandarin
