Job Description

We are looking for a talented sales professional to lead Ink’s media sales in Hong Kong. This is a unique opportunity to sell into some of the world’s best inflight magazines and media. Your primary focus will be our Hong Kong Airlines account, but you will also be expected to sell into our titles for Singapore Airlines, Qatar Airways, Etihad, American Airlines, United Airlines and more.

The successful candidate must have the drive, passion and winning attitude to help their clients succeed, through advertising across multiple channels, including print magazines and digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sourcing leads on a daily basis and acquiring new business from clients across multiple industries
  • Understanding your client’s needs, proposing solutions, handling objections and negotiating advertising contracts
  • Selling advertising space in inflight magazines and other airline platforms including digital & possibly ambient.
  • Developing strong agency relationships in order to drive more revenue
  • Building & maintaining long lasting working relationships with clients via cold calls, face to face meetings & networking events
  • Creating & managing a client pipeline while providing accurate forecasts to the Commercial Director

The Ideal Candidate

  • Must be based in and have the right to work in Hong Kong
  • Must be willing to work independently, without on the ground office support, and travel regularly to Ink’s APAC headquarters in Singapore
  • Have a minimum of 5 years sales experience closing key accounts across different industries. Experience in media/publishing will be an asset, as will
  • Must have experience working with luxury / high end clients
  • Understands the sales process by telephone as well as face-to-face methods, and has the ability to build & communicate the value of the airline assets.
  • Will have existing direct client & media agency relationships in Hong Kong
  • Will be responsible for maximising advertising revenues for Ink in Hong Kong
  • Is an excellent communicator in English and Cantonese, both written and spoken
  • Is positive, self-motivated and confident they can deliver
