Job Description

Job Purpose

To develop and manage the QA function for Addo Play HK to ensure that all products developed are safe, compliant and fit for purpose and sourced from factories that meet the minimum requirements of Addo Play. You will need to work closely with the merchandisers, suppliers, factories, inspection companies, test laboratories and UK buyers and QA department

The role will require frequent visits to suppliers & factories.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Quality Assurance & Compliance Manager
  • Develop and manage HK QA procedures including product development, testing, inspection, factory development & approval, technical file creation & maintenance.
  • Develop, support & manage the Addo Play QA team in HK
  • Help to develop & maintain Addo Play Quality Manuals.
  • Provide support & guidance to The Entertainer QA Manager.
  • Provide advice on the quality, safety & compliance of new product initiatives.
  • Ensure Risk Assessments are conducted on suppliers and all factories used by Addo Play are audited and necessary corrective action is implemented as required.
  • Maintain the factory audit format.
  • Conduct factory audits and verify follow up activity.
  • Ensure Addo Play Factory Register is developed & maintained to provide summary of factory status.
  • Ensure risk assessments are conducted on new products and testing requirements and potential quality and safety risks are identified and adequately documented and communicated.
  • Provide QA input to all product development stages.
  • Create & maintain product technical files & DOCs for all products.
  • Ensure appropriate testing is conducted on all products and establish cost effective test programs with test laboratories.
  • Manage the pre-shipment inspection process ensuring inspections are conducted & documented as required, results are reviewed, and appropriate follow up action is taken.
  • Provide advice on the quality, safety & compliance for International markets.
  • Help to investigate & identify the root cause for products performing outside acceptable levels and follow up corrective action.
  • Ensure QA Tracker is maintained to provide product status summary.
  • Keep abreast of relevant International her associated legislation

Skills  

  1. Minimum 5 years previous experience in a similar quality management role.
  2. Manufacturing Engineering, Product Design or Testing Laboratory background or experience preferred.
  3. Strong leadership skills with ability to provide long distance support, guidance and coaching.
  4. Experience of International Directives, Regulations, Standards & Requirements.
  5. Logical thinker with ability to analyse numerical and written data.
  6. Strong investigative skills with ability to identify risk and implement effective solutions.
  7. High level of attention to detail.
  8. Ability to work with, and protect, confidential information.
  9. Strong organizational and time management skills for effective use of time and resources.
  10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to ensure quality communication and information are provided to all levels of management.
  11. Computer literate with intermediate knowledge in MS Word, Excel & Access.
