Our client is a Fortune 500 company with a diversified business including retail industry. To cope with the expansion of business, they are seeking for a high caliber to join their Hong Kong team.

Responsibilities:

• In charge of category management for food and non-food products. Leading sizable merchandising and buying team to deliver long and short term sourcing objectives that aligns with business growth.
• Drive merchandising strategies through integrated category management.
• Identify the right product assortment according to store profile. Build network in sourcing and cultivate relationship with local and foreign suppliers.
• Be an expert on market trend and customer focused. Work strategically with the buying team to drive aggressive sales.
• Develop promotion activities to drive sales and customer flow.
• Lead category management. Provides leadership to grow business opportunities.
• Identify KPI for the team and drive to achieve goals.

Requirements:

• University degree preferred.
• At least 10 years solid experience in category management for supermarket, hypermarket, convenience stores, grocery stores etc. Preferably with experience from leading hypermarket or supermarket chains.
• Excellent in market sensitivity, communication skills, influencing skills, and experience in leading sizable team (over 30 staff).
• Strong in category management and merchandising skills.
• Proficient in written and spoken Chinese and English.
