Job Scope:

Support and advise on Legal & Compliance matters of regional affiliates in APAC region and report to General Counsel in HK.  He/She will act as the first escalation point and will take the lead to close any key customer contract negotiation.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work with internal clients to structure, review, draft and negotiate any business transactions.
• Provide regional legal support and advice to APAC affiliates on global contractual arrangements and legal matters.
• Identify, manage and advise the company on legal and commercial risks associated with transactions, their potential impact and suggested mitigating actions.
• Familiar with telecom related licenses and services and ensure compliance of the group company in relation to services providing in APAC region.
• Interface and manage legal enquiries and potential claims from external parties, attend the courts to settle where necessary.
• Develop and maintain relationships with governmental and quasi-governmental departments, other affiliates, partners, customers, legal services agencies, and law firms.
• Develop, promote and implement legal/corporate ethics policies and procedures to ensure company's practice is up to the required standard. 

 Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Law or related discipline.
• Qualified lawyer in Hong Kong (either Solicitor or Barrister-at-law) with Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (PCLL) or equivalent.
• At least 8 years' relevant experience in Telecommunications/ IT industry (preferably MNC) with at least 3 years' experience in dealing with APAC region legal matters.
• Substantive knowledge of APAC telecom issues.
• Excellent contract negotiation skills, analytical, drafting and communication skills
• Willing to travel frequently when necessary.
