Job Description
Key Accountabilities
- Information sourcing, including database, internet and public domain research to support an investigation
- Understand client’s needs, project aims, issues, milestones, and timeline to deliver results
- Verifying the credibility of the information and sources
- Preparing reports in English
- Understand, differentiate and interpret records / information and understand how they further an investigation
- Actively engage in field and desk top investigations under the supervision of the Investigations Manager
- Keep abreast of new and existing open source channels for research, e.g. new websites, new functions in existing databases
- Discreet and able to handle sensitive information in confidence
Key Performance Indicators
Performance will be based on agreed targets set as part of an appraisal and objective setting process. This will include:
- Productivity : Complete research within specific time allotted ( 90% of the time)
- Quality : Produce accurate research and reports that require minimal editing (90% of time)
Qualifications
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with:
- University Graduate in Business, Communications, International Relations, Management , Journalism, or Law
- At least 2 years work experience years relevant work experience in security risk, investigation, research, consulting, compliance, or regulatory roles (Candidates with lesser experience will be considered for junior analyst position)
- Demonstrated research skills experience
- Strong ability to summarize information and produce accurate, high-quality reports
- Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision to meet tight deadlines
- Good understanding of corporate filings, official records, accounting records and business
- Good command of English and Chinese; knowledge of other Asian languages highly desirable
- Proficiency in using computer applications such as MS Office, Excel, Chinese word processing,
etc.
