Financial Services Law Firm Seeking Paralegal

We are a corporate law firm specializing in financial services, financial regulation, investment funds, and capital markets transactions.

We are looking for a smart, motivated individual who would be interested in developing himself or herself in a valuable practice area that is in high demand.

Responsibilities:

• Providing legal support to lawyers and clients of the firm, including drafting legal documents and agreements, preparing forms and reports, supporting IPO projects etc.
• Conducting due diligence investigations and legal research
• Assisting clients to apply for SFC and other regulatory licenses  
• Contacting and following up with clients and regulatory bodies in general enquiries and project-related issues
• Handling general compliance and company secretarial work
• Updating and maintenance of case records / database system
• Performing ad-hoc duties as assigned

 Requirements: 

• A law degree holder
• Preferably 1-3 years’ working experience in legal industry, preferably with experience in IPO projects
• Detail-oriented, hard-working, organised, positive attitude and a team player
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and meet deadlines
• Good computer skill, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Proficiency in both English and Chinese typing and writing
• Good communication skills in Chinese (both Cantonese and Mandarin) and English
• Candidates who speak Mandarin are welcomed
