Job Description

The Responsibilities

  • Negotiates or supervises the negotiation of complex requests for equipment, supplies, and services from suppliers.
  • Visits of regional fairs to identify new suppliers as well as new products suitable for export.
  • Visits of customers to discuss new products, new suitable suppliers, latest order development status, offer status, sample status, quality issues, claim status, artwork developments, customers warehouse issues, packing related issues, preparation of customers forthcoming trips.
  • Checking databases for new products and suppliers.
  • Checking of government internet sites to look up export statistics for certain merchandise categories to determine its export relevance into customer markets.
  • Studying monthly magazines, special industry reports and catalogs to search for new innovative products and suppliers.
  • Studying customer’s sales catalogs to identify new products which could be offered from within the country of responsibility.
  • Regular visits of existing suppliers to search for new products and latest developments.
  • Handling of sample requests received from customers.
  • Checking correctness of safety- and test- certificates received from suppliers in relation of samples received.
  • Handling of orders received from customers in regard to:
  1. Order confirmation from supplier.
  2. Receipt of artwork instructions from customers.
  3. Receipt of test reports from customers if applicable.
  4. Daily/weekly/monthly delivery control to ensure punctual shipments.
  5. Receipt of shipping documents from supplier and checking for correctness.
  6. Handling and timely settlement of claim received from customers.
  • Handling and preparation of reports in relation to the above mentioned points such as “Follow up-report”, “Delivery & inspection report”, “Monthly purchasing report”, “Supplier evaluation report” etc.

The Requirement

  • Degree holder, in business commerce preferred,
  • Highly specialized in Car spare parts/Car accessories/Car tools/motorcycles/motorcycles accessories/ Chemical.
  • Extensive knowledge of the buying market in terms of merchandise as well as in regard to export procedures, forwarding regulations, customs procedures, product safety regulations and international payment terms.
  • Good command in writing and speaking English and other Asian language is advantage
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented & organized,
  • Independent and responsible as well as ability to work in a team,
  • Problem-solver, able to meet tight deadline and work under high pressure
  • Very frequent travel to Asian countries
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage workload and time according to set deadlines.
