Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:

 

The Store Operations Supervisor executes the day to day business plan created by the store leader and fosters a positive work environment that ensures both internal and external customer satisfaction and drives sales. The Operation Supervisor drives the efficient execution of company-defined practices and productivity standards for markdowns, signing and marketing and assist with the development and training of the store’s operation team. The Operations Supervisor is required to work together with peers and sales associates and perform a variety of cross-functional tasks as assigned by the leader on duty.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

1.       Daily Operations
  • Supports the Operations Assistant Manager in presenting a well-organized, neat, clean, sized and replenished sales floor and stockroom.
  • Ensures productivity goals are met while adhering to markdown and signage practices.
  • Ensures efficient and effective replenishment process.
  • Consistent execution of damages and defectives.
  • Works in partnership with Operation Assistant Manager and/or Store Operations Manager to meet UPH goals.
  • Partners with the visual merchandising team to ensure proper flexing and maintenance of clearance merchandise to maximize gross margin.
  • Influences employees to support an operationally efficient and effective process driven environment.
  • Supports the leadership team to ensure Store Compliance Audit standards are met and maintained, ensure the maintenance / cleanliness in stores, Loss prevention programs / training and Inventory  preparation.
  • Communicates daily goals and priorities to support associates, redirects activities as necessary to achieve productivity standards.
  • Helps store drive all KPI’s as determined by Store Leadership Team and role models a positive work environment for all employees.

2.      Talent Management

  • Assist and support Operations Assistant Manager to ensure training of Sales Associates is executed well.

 

ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Reports to the Store General Manager / Assistant General Manager / Operations Manager / Operations Assistant Manager
  • Supervises Lead and Sales Associates.
  • Interacts with District Manager and other Business Partners.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

1.       Knowledge, skills & abilities:

  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers and store personnel.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Sales Associates, customers and management.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including evening, overnight, and weekend shifts.
  • Ability to work independently, handles multiple tasks, understand HQ reports, tools and direction, and develop and train others.
  • Ability to create a positive work environment.
  • Ability to listen to feedback and take constructive action.

2.       Educational level:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.

3.      Minimum experience:

  • Previous retail experience preferred.
