The Job

• Supervise a team of Assistant Chemist and Technician daily testing work in organic testing on Softline, Toys, Hardgoods and Electrical products and food contact testing for food container materials
• Monitor the TAT and maintain a smooth daily operation
• Review test results and draft reports
• Prepare SOP and perform method validation and measurement uncertainty estimation
• Provide training to the individual of technical staff on the laboratory equipment and test methods.
• Manage the facilities and equipment of the laboratory
• Maintain the laboratory according to ISO 17025 and accreditation bodies’ requirements
• Answer technical enquiries and provide technical advice to internal parties

The Person 

• Degree or above in Analytical Chemistry or Applied Chemistry
• At least 5 years’ experience in testing laboratory on operation (organic testing or food contact testing) with supervisory experience is a plus
• With hand on experiences operation and maintenance of GC, LC, ICP and AAS.
• Familiar with HOKLAS, ISO 17025 quality management system. Approved signatory is preferable
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
• Highly independent, mature & adaptation to high pressure working environment
