Job Overview

Provides the leadership, management, and vision to the lead the Greater China Sales Team in the achievement of company objectives/goals. Translates corporate strategic objectives into specific and actionable plans and initiatives that deliver profitable market share gains and consistent above market growth rates .

 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for driving sales growth for Greater China in line with budget
  • Development and execution of annual strategic plan and operating plan in coordination with companies long term strategic plan
  • Overall coordination, functional management, and leadership of all Greater China sales channels and activities
  • Recruitment, hiring, retention, and management of sales personnel
  • In coordination with senior management team to establish compensation plans for all sales personnel including salary structures, commission policy and sales contests.
  • Ensure appropriate sales, product, service, and leadership training is executed and meets evolving customer and industry trends.
  • Coordination with global marketing teams to ensure effective and appropriate product and promotional mix
  • Oversight and approval of local sales transactions and related policies and procedures
  • Develop and manage relationships with cross functional teams (Product, HR, Compliance, Finance, IT, Regulatory) to achieve annual and long term business objectives
  • Effective management of sales pipeline
  • Ensure full adherence to CRM adoption and process
  • Working closely with product team on RFQ and tender management
  • Close communication and support to Corporate and network in liaison to key customers and business development
  • Effective account receivable control in accordance to finance policy

 

Experience, Competence and Education Requirements

  • Minimum 10 year experience in logistics industry with progressive sales management and proven P/L management experience as well as being on managerial roles for 4 years or above
  • Effective communicator with logical, organized and tactical verbal, written, listening and presentation skills. Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledgeable of market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies
  • Strong analytical skills and ability in identifying and providing solutions to complex market dynamics
  • Strong Business Acumen, and Independent Judgment
  • Sales Management, Sales Methodology, Sales Process
  • Effectively build and leverage internal and external relationships
  • Fosters continuous individual development to build management depth and further enhance the technical and managerial skills of individuals through modeling accountability, formal training, mentoring and other experiences.
  • Establishes and communicates Greater China business segment strategy
  • Establishes a positive work environment where team members are motivated and empowered to make decisions
  • Able to work independently & under pressure
  • Aggressive, customer-orientated and determined with strong negotiation skills
  • Good command of spoken & written English, Cantonese and Chinese
  • Good PC skills in MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel
  • Willing to travel as required
