Brief description:    

This is a 6-month contract project consultant role to explore options and provide recommendation for the successful transformation of supply chain for Retail convenience store business with 40+ outlets. Reporting to Marketing Manager, the candidate will have to work closely with the Marketing team, Sales & Operation team as well as suppliers to establish a new supply chain model. The successful candidate will need to have a solid grounding in a Retail/FMCG environment and have strong project management and implementation skills.

 

Job Scope:  Supply Chain Model Recommendation/ Project Economics Estimation

  • Perform an initial assessment of existing supply chain with data analysis to identify opportunities
  • Identify possible fit-for-purpose solutions available in the market that addresses the business needs today and in the future
  • Formulate recommendations and solutions with attention to end-to-end flow from sourcing, ordering, warehousing, payment and delivery to retail outlets
  • Define the right supply chain partner with procurement team
  • Define the right system and solution with IT team
  • Define project objectives, scope, integrated project plan for the supply chain transformation and an estimation on the required investment and return on investment 
  • Identify areas of risks of the projects and embed mitigation in the project plan

 

Candidate Requirement:                                                                                                                                                           

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in procurement / supply chain / logistic management 
  • 5-10 years in procurement / supply chain with demonstrated knowledge of Inventory Planning management, end to end contract administration and Vendor management from sourcing to performance
  • Convenience Retail Experience preferred
  • Experience in Inventory Management System set-up a plus
  • Experience in change management and process improvement
  • Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners to overcome obstacles and deliver results
  • Exceptional analytics, judgment, and communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
