Job Description

To drive and set up the logistics operations, procedures and infrastructure in the Asia Pacific Region with the aim to achieve operational excellence and cost effectiveness. 

 

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

Logistical Planning:  

  • Support Head of Supply Chain Management & Logistics APAC that there is a yearly plan with focus areas for the department (on processes and tools), giving it a follow up and guard progress (report / KPI) to achieve goals 
  • Give input to the long term Strategic vision on APAC Logistics 
  • Responsible of RFP & contract negotiation with 3PL 
  • Setting of KPIs to monitor 3PL operations performance on warehouse management, VAS, OTIF, response, delivery accuracy and quality, etc.   
  • Expertise centre on Logistics 
  • Utilising market knowledge and trends such as legislation, fuel costs, environmental pressures etc, to help elevate the function to be a proactive and a value added partner to the business.  
  • Keep an overview on Asia Pacific logistics needs based on current and up coming programs. 

Project set-up:   

  • Define program set-up together with other internal stakeholders like Category Managers, Program Managers and Supply Chain Managers 
  • Creating the standard operating protocol (SOP) per program 
  • Analyze and authorize internal logistical project calculations;  
  • Provide innovative and efficient supply chain solutions in relation to import, export, transport and warehousing;  
  • Plan, negotiate and implement logistical projects;  
  • Control strategic forwarder selection within a region.  
  • Guard quality and cost effectiveness both in set-up and execution of programs 
  • Meeting the client and visit client DC regularly to facilitate the delivery & returns processes. 
  • In charge of all the import and export process, trade compliance, customs regulations, CIQ and documentation 

Project execution:   

  • Act as escalation point, providing strategic solutions ensuring project success;  
  • Make sure that logistic provider will facilitate an optimal warehouse and value added service solution. 

Project analysis:   

  • Analyze operational excellence advising future solutions and supply chain improvements;  
  • Review selected logistical partners, creating detailed reports performance based;  
  • Analyzing initial calculations, calculating accuracy and identifying improvement areas. 
REQUIREMENTS 

 

When it comes to experience we expect you to fit the requirements below: 

  • University degree in Business/Logistics/Supply Chain Management. 
  • Minimum 10 years experience in managing logistics in Asia: import /export , trade compliance, national distribution, warehousing and international transportation. 
  • Project management skills and good at time management  
  • Decision maker 
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Excellent in English and Mandarin (written and spoken)  
  • Strong in problem solving skills 
  • Detail minded 
  • Team player  
  • SAP experience is preferable
