Responsibilities
• Report to the Finance Director, manage and oversee the daily accounting operations for Hong Kong, Macau & Mongolia;
• Work closely with the Accounting Shared Service Centre based in Philippines and supervise the month and year-end closing process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledgers, expenditures variance analysis, intercompany account reconciliations, and fixed assets activity;
• Take care of Capital Expenditure & Fixed Assets accounting activities;
• Supervise and control accounting matters for Moving and Relocation Div. performed by the Account Share Service Centre based in Philippines;
• Prepare & check incentive schedules for Moving and Relocation;
• Take charge of annual physical stock-taking and stock valuation;
• Ensure the compliance with local taxation legislation / reporting;
• Perform cash management & Treasury function. Coordinate with intercompany/Head Office on funding requests and prepare cash flow forecasts;
• Deal with bankers and related matters;
• Balance sheet review and analysis;
• Review and enhance accounting workflow, accounting policies & procedures and internal control;
• Provide support and advice on accounting system, assist in integration/automation process and system changeover/upgrade;
• Provide advices and recommendations to management on achieving cost effectiveness and process improvement;
• Coordinate and complete annual audits and taxes filing;
• Liaise with auditors and other professionals regarding tax and banking matters;
• Review/prepare schedules as required for statutory audit;
• Assist in staff management, recruitment, training and development of team members;
• Perform ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned.
 
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other relevant discipline;
• Qualified Accountant preferred;
• 5 years of related working experience/exposure;
• Energetic, self-starter, and result-oriented;
• Excellent analytical skills and business acumen;
• Experience in multinational corporate environment with matrix structure;
• Ability to communicate with senior management and cross functional and can work with different cultures and levels;
• Good command in spoken & written English & Cantonese;
• Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint. SUN Accounting system and One Stream knowledge is definitely an advantage;
• Willing to work under pressure, deliver results and meet tight deadlines.
