Oversees finance control function for Pearson HK.  Responsible for implementation of internal control, ensuring compliance to company’s financial and regulatory policies, accuracy of month end closing & reporting, process improvement and transformation.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage a team of staff to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with Corporate Reporting Requirements & statutory requirement;
• Ensure a strong and proper internal control measures according to existing company’s policies/procedures and global policies standard;
• Work closely with external auditors to ensure compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements;
• Work closely with internal auditors to evaluate the effectiveness and adequacy of the financial control and drive for improvement actions;
• Act as champion to manage outsourced service provider in finance operation and drive for continuous process improvement;
• Act as a change agent in finance transformation;
• Responsible for taxation and treasury;
• Ad-hoc projects & duties as required 

Requirements

• University degree with an internationally recognized professional accounting qualification
• Over 8 years with Big 4 audit experience and MNCs working experience
• Excellent communication skills in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
• Good interpersonal and people management skills
• Highly motivated team player with positive can-do attitudes
• Organized, detail-oriented and able to work under pressures
• With analytical and proactive approach to problem solving
