Our client is a globally recognized leading player in their industry, providing expertise and services to multinational corporations, listed companies and individuals.  As they continue to expand, they are looking to increase efficiency and provide value added services to their internal Partners and senior management team with a high caliber tax expert.

Reporting directly to the Regional Financial Controller you will be responsible for:

• Managing all tax compliance, tax accounting and tax obligations proactively and responsibly for the firm across the region
• Build strong rapport and liaise effectively with tax officials and manage all necessary negotiations and updates with regulators
• Key advisory and consultant seeking ways to reduce inefficiencies, mitigate risk and minimize exposure across all areas of tax
• Support the business in any necessary tax planning and ad hoc projects
• Manage mobility and associated taxation impacts for internal movements across the organization
• Look after partnership accounting, profit distribution and capital contributions and maintenance of tax reserves
• Produce monthly management accounts and associated reporting to Partners and the senior management team
• Liaise with auditors and external advisors to comply with statutory requirements and profits filings

Suitable candidates should possess:

• Professional qualification in taxation or accounting
• 8-10 years’ of relevant tax experience in a Big 4 firm or commercial corporation
• In depth experience of managing tax compliance and knowledge of regional jurisdictions
• Strong communication skills to liaise with external parties, government official and other advisors
• Consultative approach and diplomacy to work with Partners and the senior management team
• Fluency in English and Chinese is essential
• Ability to work independently, be self-sufficient and have strong problem solving skills
