Summary:

Manages processes and projects for the company, often across Business Units, Divisions, Legal Entities, or Geographic Regions. Coordinates, administers, and controls financial operations and/or projects. Operates effectively across all areas of the business operations including: General Accounting & Reporting, Policy, Tax, Legal Reporting, Statutory Reporting, Sales & Consulting, Information Technology, and general operational and corporate transactions. Ensures that financial transactions are in compliance with corporate policy, statutory requirements, and generally accepted accounting principles.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Coordinates finance activities, providing guidance and recommendations to finance team(s).
• Prepares financial results, analysis, and recommendations.
• Prepares and submits actuals, budgets and views (i.e. 'ownership' of financial data)
• Ensures financial compliance with statutory requirements (legal and tax), corporate policy, and audit requirements, including audited financial statements and footnotes as required.
• Liaises with internal and external professional advisors (banks, tax, accounting, audit, legal etc.) to transact complex business on behalf of the company.
• Together with Legal, reviews sales and vendor contracts to ensure compliance with financial policies and proper accounting treatment.
• Participates in and coordinates the development of local and corporate financial policies and procedures
• Researches and/or assesses the financial implications of business opportunities and risks.
• Oversees the development and operation of financial systems and/or processes.
• Performs other projects and transactions as required by management and business needs.
• Delegates and manages key responsibilities.

Requirement

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required. Degree and/or accounting certification
• Typically requires eight years of senior accounting, controlling or a financial analysis role in a multinational organization. Audit experience preferred. Preferably two years of supervisory experience.
